The NCA is a non-profit organization on a mission to create a more secure, interconnected world. They advocate for the safe use of technology and education on how best to protect organizations from cybercrime.
NCA and the U.S. government Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) partnered to create resources and communications for organizations to talk to their employees and customers about staying safe online.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month was created to raise awareness in corporations about digital security and empower everyone to protect their personal data from digital forms of crime. Simple cybersecurity measures implemented can make a huge impact.
October 2023 marks the 20th Cybersecurity Awareness Month campaign, Secure Our World. This campaign emphasized four critical behaviors:
- Employing strong passwords and using a password manager
- Enabling multifactor authentication
- Recognizing and reporting phishing attempts
- Regularly updating software

During October 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Month, our compliance team spearheaded a comprehensive campaign, engaging our 5000+ employees in a series of educational and interactive sessions. These sessions covered vital topics such as security culture, strong passwords, multifactor authentication, ransomware, recognizing and reporting phishing, updating software, and social media hygiene.
Here’s what we accomplished:
- Educated our employees about the importance of cybersecurity within our organization
- Enhanced our collective knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Strengthening our overall cybersecurity posture and reduced risk of security incidents
- Fostered a culture of security consciousness and vigilance among our employees
In an email to our employees, our Chief Operations Officer, Srinivas Manda encouraged us to keep cybersecurity top of mind: “As we move forward, let’s not lose the momentum we’ve built.
